Together with Family (part 1)

After celebrating Christmas in South Florida we headed up to Virginia to get together with family for the holidays.  We had a great time visiting, playing and making yummy treats together.  The time went by so fast and it was hard to leave but we were thankful for the time we had.  We always cherish the memories made!

Happy Birthday Jesus! Christmas 2013

December was a fun month as we eagerly awaited celebrating Jesus' birthday.  Each day we would read a part of the Christmas story and the boys would add a piece to our calendar.  During this month we went to the Nevils Family Christmas party.  We had a great time together decorating their tree and visiting with one another.  So thankful for their friendship!  On Christmas Eve we went to our Christmas Eve Service at church and then had a quiet evening at home.  On Christmas Day we spent majority of the day with family and ended our time together by celebrating Jesus' birthday with cake, candles and singing Happy Birthday.  Joy to the world the Lord has come!

All Aboard the Mayflower! Thanksgiving 2013

We had an exciting month of November as we filled up our Thankful Tree leading up to celebrating Thanksgiving.  What we did was each morning we would write something that we are thankful for on a paper leaf and put it on our tree in order to remind us that we have a lot to be thankful for.  This was a new idea that we came across on this website http://www.aholyexperience.com/2012/11/a-christian-family-thanksgiving-activity-the-thanks-giving-tree-free-printable/
It was a lot of fun with the kids and it really helped to engage our minds and teach our hearts to be thankful.  I am hoping to do it again next November and who knows it may become a family tradition.  When Thanksgiving Day came we had a delicious pancake breakfast at church and then joined together with our family for dinner.  What a great day it was:)  Our hearts overflow with thankfulness to God for His immeasurable gifts!

Pastor Appreciation Month 2013

October was Pastor Appreciation Month and we are so blessed to be serving at New Life Baptist Church  for over 11 years now.  What a wonderful, loving and giving church family!  We are humbled by God's goodness in allowing us to work in such a delightful place.  Feeling abundantly blessed!

WHERE DID THE REST OF 2013 GO?

Sorry it's been so long in updating our blog.  It's been quite an adventure for us and we hope to catch you up to date on this amazing adventure in the coming posts.  Let's jump back a little bit and ask the question "Where did the rest of 2013 go?"  Well...
In October 2013, we had a wonderful time celebrating the twins 4th birthday with family at our house.  They have and still are enjoying all their many hot wheels cars, so we thought it only right to have a Hot Wheels birthday party theme celebration.  Race tracks and cars were set out for the kids to have fun playing with, snacks and dessert were delightful to the taste buds and there was an exciting photo booth that was quite entertaining for everyone.  Thank you God for Jonathan and Luke!  What a double blessing!
