On October 31st, 497 years ago Martin Lither nailed the 95 Theses to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg Germany igniting the spark that grew to be the Protestant Reformation. The Boys have enjoyed learning the history about Reformation Day, specifically the story of Martin Luther. They also took great pleasure in eating Luther Rose cookies. The three bigger boys had fun dressing up as knights. Daddy dressed up as Martin Luther and Momma dressed as a run away nun. Isaac even got in on it by dressing as a barrel that the nuns escaped in during the Reformation. Later that evening we headed to our church Reformation Day Party. It was an exciting time filled with outdoor games, yummy food and great conversations as we celebrated together.

THANKS BE TO GOD!
October 27, 2009...a day to remember. I have to admit it's hard to just pass over this day like any other day. My mind and heart get wrapped up in it and I cannot get away from the overarching statement....Thanks Be to God! October 27th was a day that God answered our earnest prayer and cry for many years to have children as He blessed us with the birth of our twin boys. It was a day where abounding joy as well as tragic hardship both occurred at the same time as we embraced our children into our family and experienced unexpected serious life threatening hardship during delivery. Many prayers where lifted up surrounding this day and we are forever grateful for our loving doctors/nurses, family, friends and church.
Now... I'm absolutely amazed to be blessed with four boys. I am indeed incredibly grateful that God saved my life both spiritually through Jesus but also saving my life physically so that I can enjoy being a Mom and Wife for my family. THANKS BE TO GOD!

Thankful for our Doctors and Nurses!
October...a Month of Celebrations!
The month of October has been filled with lots of fun times... while Mark was away on the Mens Retreat with church the boys and I along with Opa went to the Pumpkin Patch at Bednars Farm where we enjoyed navigating the corn maze, tractor rides and feeding goats. Later in the month we celebrated our "MVP" Daddy's birthday. The boys wanted to take him to Sky Zone (an trampoline play area) and then we enjoyed a tailgate style menu for dinner along with yummy ice cream football cake. Later Mommy and Daddy enjoyed watching the Leatherheads football movie together. For the Twins' birthday, we had an exciting outing at Holiday Park in the everglades where we adventured on an air boat ride looking for alligators. On October 31st we will be celebrating Reformation day so pictures are soon to come from that, but here are some memories captured from this month.
Look out Pumpkins!
And so it begins not knowing where we are going and then ends with much celebration...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MVP!

Recent Happenings
In August Mom and Dad came to visit. We had a wonderful time together! The boys especially looked forward to the fun outings with Grandma and Papa as well as cherished story times. As always, the time goes by too fast but we will look forward to seeing them over the holidays come December. Last month I enjoyed a delightful birthday with Mark and our boys from delicious meals to enjoying an afternoon tea with my mom and sisters. Our recent happenings leave us feeling overly blessed by God's goodness!
Isaac
Isaac has been happily home now for over a month. No more days and nights in the NICU at the hospital. Woohoo! It's hard to believe but time has gone by and he is now two months old. At his one month appointment he weighed 7.81 lbs and was 20.75in in height. Now he weighs 10lbs and his height is 22.75in. Overall he is doing well growing strong and healthy. His older brothers love taking care of him and playing with him. We are so thankful for our friends and family who have been and are praying for us during this exciting transition of our growing family.

3+1=4!
As you can see from our previous posts that it's been quite an adventure for us from holidays and birthdays, to weddings and the daily joys with little boys. Well, our adventure has just gotten more exciting! Back in January we found out to our surprise that we were expecting another child. Oh boy, literally, another boy! So, the three amigos have now become the fantastic four! Due date is September 3rd but since he's all about surprising us, he decided to come July 31st.
Isaac Henry Schweitzer was born at 5lbs 15oz and 18in long. Being 5 weeks early he's had to spend some time in the neonatal icu to clear and strengthen his lungs and learn how to eat. It's been two weeks now and we are looking forward to bringing him home soon.
